What this notice covers

This notice describes how Abacus Technologies handles personal information collected through abacustechnologies.ai. It does not cover information collected during contracted engagements with our clients, which are governed by the engagement agreement.

What we collect

• Information you send us. If you email us — at hello@abacustechnologies.ai or any other address — we receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services, via CloudFront) and DNS provider (Cloudflare) record IP addresses, user agents, request paths, and timestamps for every request to the site. We use these to keep the site running and to detect abuse.
• Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — pages viewed, referral sources, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used — scrolling, clicks, and session replays. Advertising and cross-site-tracking features are disabled in both.
• Cookies. The analytics tools above set first-party cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. We set no other cookies, and no third-party (cross-site) cookies.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your information.
• We do not run advertising trackers — Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, Google Ads remarketing, etc. — and advertising features are disabled in our analytics tools.
• We do not build advertising profiles of visitors.

How we use your information

• To respond to enquiries.
• To investigate suspicious or abusive activity.
• To meet legal obligations where they apply.

Sharing with third parties

We use the following processors to operate the site. None of them receive the contents of your enquiries unless you choose to email us through their service.

• Amazon Web Services — hosting (S3) and content delivery (CloudFront).
• Cloudflare — DNS resolution and email routing for the domain.
• Google — usage analytics (Google Analytics).
• Microsoft — usage analytics and session replay (Clarity).
• Our email provider — receives and stores email correspondence.

Your rights

If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or another jurisdiction with similar data-protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it.
• Object to our processing of it.
• Export it in a machine-readable form.

How long we keep things

• Email correspondence: up to 24 months unless an engagement begins, in which case retention follows the engagement contract.
• Server logs: 90 days.
• Analytics data: Google Analytics retains event-level data for 14 months; Clarity retains session recordings for up to 30 days.

Children

The site is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
